Thanks For The Help

Posted by John Goodrich on Tuesday, May 22, 2012

If you made it this far onto the D.A.D.S. website, that means that you are looking for something. That something might be a little help: needing an answer to a question, trying to find a resource in your area, or just looking for a another Dad to listen. In any case, admitting that isn't always easy.

Here's an article that expresses a new father's journey into realizing that we all need help sometimes. Add (or multiply!) dealing with a disability on top of a "normal" experience and we can all feel overwhelmed.

Don't be afraid to ask for help - that's what D.A.D.S. is for.

John Goodrich is a father of three - a son with Down syndrome and two daughters. He has been involved in D.A.D.S. since he was encouraged by his wife to attend a meeting shortly after his son was born in 2002.
